Early paintings 1980 - 2002

David Wells Roth was born in Florida and grew up in Massachusetts.  After studying at Boston University, he moved to New York City in 1980, where he lived and painted. He explored various themes including urban landscapes, street musicians, cafes and portraits.  In 1982 he moved to France where he continued to explore those and many other subjects and themes.  In 1997 he moved back to Massachusetts where he currently lives. The paintings are viewable by time period and his place of residence at the time the works were created.
